Common Ravens and American Crows are notoriously tricky to tell apart, but what if we told you it’s not as simple as just raven or crow? If you know you’ve spotted a crow, next is determining which kind.

There are three main species of crows in the United States and—you guessed it—they’re nearly identical. Take our advice, learn to trust your ears because your eyes may fool you. ([link removed])

American Crows, Fish Crows, and Northwestern Crows may all have the same glossy black plumage and fan-shaped tail feathers, but each has its own distinct voice.
