Monday 3 June - Friday 28 July: Castle Boulevard/Wilford Street junction 
Lane closed for kerbline and footway construction from 9.30am to 3.30pm

1 July - 1 September: Pemberton Street North - city centre
Road closed for construction works

Monday 15 July - Sunday 4 August: London Road A60 - city centre
Road closure southbound overnight 7pm - 5am for resurfacing works. DIversion via Cattle Market - County Road - Meadow Lane - Lady Bay Bridge

Monday 15 - Monday 29 July: Basford Road - Basford
Road closure from Totland Drive to Whitemoor Road for Glympton construction works 

Saturday 27 July: Talbot Street adjacent to Bowman House
Lane closure for new gas connection from 8am - 5pm

Saturday 27 July - Monday 29 July: Abbey Bridge westbound at junction with Gregory Street
Lane closure for for Western Power Distribution electrical works

Sunday 28 July: Alfreton Road opposite St Helen's Street
Lane closure for new electrical supp 8am - midnight

Sunday 28 July: Talbot Street
Road closure 8am - 5pm to erect a crane

Lane closure outside Black Cherry Lounge for Severn Trent Water boundary box installation.

Sunday 28 July: Huntington Street
Lane closure outside 123 Huntington Street 8am - 6pm for Western Power Distribution electrical works

Sunday 28 July: Derby Road
Two way temporary traffic lights in operation outside 206 Derby Road 8.30am - 6pm to repair water hydrant

Monday 29 July - Friday 2 August: Carlton Street between Walker Street and Sneinton Road
Off peak lane closure for crane lifting

Monday 29 July - Friday 9 August: Derby Road near junction with North Road and Derby Road outside Queen's Medical Centre
Temporary pedestrian crossing for refurbishment of traffic signals. 

Monday 29 July - Friday 9 August: Vernon Road junction with Vernon Avenue
Two way lights in operation for gas works. These will be manually controlled during peak times to minimise disruption. 

Monday 29 July - Monday 5 August: Bestwood Road
Two way lights to install connections for new development. 

Monday 29 July - Robin Hood Way junction with Riverside Way
Two way lights 10am - 3.30pm for telecomms mast maintenance works. 


Major Roadworks

⚠️ Canal Street gas works ⚠️

From 29 July, major gas replacement works will mean Canal Street is closed from London Road to Trent Street westbound for 14 weeks.

⚠️Tram track replacement⚠️

5 - 18 August, Mount Hooton Road/ Forest Road/ Waverley Street junction closed for tram track works, signed diversion in place. 

In addition, there will be no tram service between The Forest and Old Market Square - a bus replacement service will be in operation.

Thursday 11 July onwards: Castle Boulevard
Work will begin on a new Stepnell development by the canal side which will affect the Western Cycle Corridor. During the construction there will be vehicles using the cycle lane to access the site so please be extra careful when riding along the route. More information here

Saturday 3 August - Sunday 4 August: Castle Boulevard
Cycle lane closed 8.30am - 6pm outside 171 (new development near Boots Opticians) so Severn Trent Water can install new water connection. 


Rainbow Road

What's on?

It's Pride this weekend!

The parade will begin at 11am on Lister Gate and finish at the #RainbowRoad on Broad Street.
