Let’s be real: A 50/50 Senate is not cutting it.

Just imagine for a moment all that we could accomplish if we flipped these seats. With our votes to eliminate the filibuster, we’d have a chance to protect abortion rights nationwide, secure marriage equality, raise the minimum wage, ban insider trading in Congress, act on climate, and so much more.

But each of us is taking on enormous right-wing forces in our races. All of our opponents are endorsed by Trump and backed by super PACs who are willing to spend whatever it takes to defeat us.

If we lose, our opponents will not think twice about passing a nationwide abortion ban. They will be in lockstep with Mitch McConnell and the corporate special interests that want to preserve our country’s broken status quo.

Going against such powerful special interests is tough. These races will be decided by incredibly small margins, and the reality is we cannot win in North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin or Florida without a LOT of grassroots support.
