Hey folks – you probably know all about my race for MI-11, but it’s far from the only important election on the ballot in Michigan.
On the top of the ballot, Governor Gretchen Whitmer is running for a second term to continue fighting for Michigan families and workers. She’s faced non-stop GOP attacks for four years, but she hasn’t let that stop her from supporting and uplifting Michiganders.
Next up is Attorney General Dana Nessel, a Democrat who won her last race by fewer than three points. During her time in office, Dana has fought to protect abortion access, even in the face of a GOP-controlled state legislature.
Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is running for another term to protect our democracy and ensure every eligible Michigander has the opportunity to vote. But she’s up against an election-denying Republican propped up by GOP dark money, and the final results will likely come down to the wire.
Finally, there’s a ballot initiative to permanently enshrine reproductive freedom in Michigan’s Constitution. This ballot initiative would protect abortion rights in Michigan forever – so it’s more important than ever to get out and vote in November. 
Clearly, there are so many important, razor-close races in Michigan, and Democrats need to turn out like never before in order to win big.
