President Biden is now practically treating lobbying for a new federal "assault weapons" ban as his full-time day job.
He was recently quoted as saying:
"And I’m going to say it again: I am not going to stop until we ban assault weapons. We have to ban assault weapons. I mean it. We did it once before. And when we did, mass crimes plummeted.”
And Biden could make it happen. Indeed, we've seen the President's allies change the rules before in order to get their way.
The Democrats did exactly that this year in order to send HR 1808 - which did not initially have the votes to be referred out of committee - to the floor of the House, where the bill eventually passed.
What's to stop Biden's lackeys from nuking the Senate filibuster, holding a simple-majority vote, and passing the "assault weapons" ban?
The answer is: nothing. If Biden and his fellow anti-gunners decide consequences be damned, they can change the rules again and BAN your guns, Friend.
That's why FPC is continuing to oppose the HR 1808 "assault weapons" ban. But our legislative fund is beginning to run dry.
