Latinx Heritage Month starts this week — it's a celebration of culture, contributions, and achievements. This month, we are doing our part to lift up Latinx‑led organizations that advocate for the health and rights of Latino communities.

There's a reason we begin this celebration of heritage and culture mid‑month — and that reason is liberation. On September 15 and 16, Independence Day is celebrated across Central America and Mexico. This is a time to honor a shared history of determination, of solidarity, of the long march toward freedom.
That work continues today, and in communities across the country, it is being led by organizations grounded in Latinx experiences.
