Independent Women’s Forum is pleased to announce that Roxanna Trinka, chapter leader of the Boca Raton, Florida chapter of Independent Women’s Network (IWN) and the possessor of the most varied resume you’ll ever see, is the latest entry in our popular series of Champion Women profiles ([link removed]) .

After a years-long career running a hugely successful engineering firm that she founded, Trinka is busier than ever, but “retired.” Roxanna was looking for a way to combat some of the harmful trends we see today and help build a better society. Introducing Trinka to IWN, philanthropist and IWF board member Yvonne Boice said, “Roxanna, this is your ball, run with it.”

Trinka has always given her all, whether it was working as a hairdresser, singing professionally in Holiday Inn lounges, or founding Baseline Engineering & Land Surveying, Inc., which she recently sold.

Roxanna Trinka sees IWN as “a well-constructed vehicle” for conservative women and is particularly excited about IWN’s educational materials. “I order copies of the 'The Woketionary ([link removed]) ' by the bushel,” Roxanna says. “This way, I can be a vehicle within a vehicle. I can spread the word and help educate younger women, who will be able to make a difference in the future.”

Trinka grew up in Rockford, IL, where she loved everything but the weather. She vowed to move to Florida as soon as she graduated from high school. Which of course, she did. She started out working at Merle Norman Cosmetics, while moonlighted as a cocktail waitress.

Trinka was working as a hairdresser when she got her big break. A client who owned an engineering and survey firm noticed Trinka’s management skills and hired her to manage a toy drive her firm was chairing. Surprising absolutely nobody, Trinka was a smashing success and ended up running the engineering firm. She eventually started her own firm.

If you have half as much fun meeting Roxanna as I did interviewing her for this piece, you’ll be glad you got to know this dynamic woman, who always runs with the ball.
