John,

With the Fifth Circuit's decision overturning part of the Affordable Care Act yesterday, we just got a stark reminder that the health care fight isn't over -- and if Republicans get their way, Illinoisans and people across this country will be at risk of losing their health insurance.

Health care is on the line in 2020. That's why it's so important that we win this race in Illinois and do our part to take back the Senate. It's clearer than ever that we need a Senate majority that will fight to protect health care for millions of Americans, not work overtime to strip it away.

John, we're a little short on our mid-month fundraising goal -- we still need to raise another $1,921 to get there. Will you pitch in $5 now to support my re-election campaign so I can keep fighting to protect your family's health care?

I have fought back against Republicans' attacks on the ACA for years because I know how important affordable health coverage is for so many people -- including millions of families who are living with the impacts of pre-existing conditions like cancer, diabetes, and asthma. And I won't stop fighting as long as health care for millions of Americans is being threatened.

That's why it's so essential that we win this race and take back the Senate. We need a Democratic majority who will stop these unacceptable attacks on health care for good.

We can win the health care fight, but we must keep our re-election campaign on track and meet our fundraising goals. Will you stand with me and pitch in $5 right now?
