Dear John,
My name is Yasamine Durali and this summer, I was a fellow with MPAC's Congressional Leadership Development Program. Throughout the fellowship, MPAC empowered me to work at the frontlines of issues that affect my community the most. I’m writing to you today because I believe in this program! It equips young Muslims to enter careers in policymaking and public service so we can shape our own future. MPAC needs your help to continue this work.
Make CLDP a part of your year-end giving to continue empowering students and future policy makers like me.

This summer, MPAC placed me as an intern for Congressman Dan Kildee [D-MI-5]. This internship gave me plenty of opportunities to see and take part in creating social change. I helped to write legislation condemning the attacks on peaceful protestors and supporting an immediate peaceful transition to a civilian-led democratic government in Sudan (H.Res 432). CLDP gave me a running start on my career as a future public servant.

This experience unleashed my potential by giving me valuable experiences in policy-making and connecting me to leaders in that field. Given today’s divisive and discriminatory political climate, we need powerful young Muslim voices more than ever. CLDP is giving those voices -- my voice -- easier access with a paid internship on Capitol Hill, a rigorous training curriculum, a well-connected network, and a supportive community of young Muslims that will always mobilize for justice.
Make a gift today to support young leaders like me, so that we can pursue our dream of amplifying the Muslim voice!

It’s not simply about making better policies -- it’s about building an inclusive and equitable future.
Thank you in advance!
