Once again, Democrats have chosen to use their numbered congressional days to profligate partisan politics instead of confronting the dangerous issues impacting our country today.
This week was led by three bills that individually 1) made it more difficult to fire D.C. bureaucrats; 2) insulated the Census Bureau from political accountability, and 3) overturned President Trump's Executive Order that removed some bureaucrat job protections and stayed consistent with civil service's merit-based system.
Not a single bill this week sought to use Congress's power of the purse to reel-in America's out-of-control spending that has spawned today's inflation. It is time to get Congress back in control before it's too late.
A VETERAN WIN: SFC MARTIN ACOSTA!
Several years ago, I had the chance to pay this brave Green Beret, SFC Martin Acosta, a visit at Walter Reed Hospital after he was severely injured in Afghanistan. Upon being medically retired from the 7th Special Forces Group, he applied for a housing modification with the Department of Veteran Affairs.
Since 2021, SFC Acosta and his family have campaigned for housing modifications to assist him in his return to civilian life but have faced obstacles along the way. Subsequently, he and his family contacted my office for assistance in navigating this challenging VA procedure. After six months, I am pleased to announce that SFC Martin Acosta was finally approved this week. He can now be at peace knowing we stand behind him to ensure he and his family are taken care of in his time of need.
JUDICIARY REPUBLICANS PREVIEW NEXT CONGRESS IN MARK-UP
On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee considered several requests for information on an array of topics, including a copy of the affidavit that led to the Mar-a-Lago search, information from Joe Biden and Merrick Garland on the 2021 memo regarding threats to school administrators and school boards, and information from Secretary Mayorkas about immigration enforcement and border security. While Democrats failed to support or comply with such requests, we will continue to fight for the truth and be sure to keep these on our docket for next year in Congress.
During my remarks in Judiciary, I reminded Democrats that our intent is not to overreach but to restore the truth and trust in America's institutions. Democrats are saying that school board meetings are now a place where MAGA Republicans come to congregate. Little do they know that school board meetings remain a place for parents, teachers, and families to express their comments, questions, and concerns about the vital institution of education and how it is affecting the students.

On Wednesday, I joined Prime News on Newsmax, where I discussed Biden's intention to divide the country, the state of today's economy, and Dr. Fauci's continued testimony in front of Congress.
While Republicans are using the constitutional process to make arguments about election integrity, the Democrats conflate this with violent rhetoric. The Left's purposefully divisive rhetoric is not in touch with how Americans really feel.
