CAMPAIGN UPDATES
ENDORSEMENT: Minnesota Medical Association’s MEDPAC
Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan announced their endorsement from MEDPAC, the Minnesota Medical Association’s Political Action Committee. MMA represents thousands of doctors across the state.
In endorsing Governor Walz, MEDPAC’s Board of Directors noted Governor Walz’s use of science and evidence-based actions in his public health response and that he worked to get more than 70% of Minnesotans vaccinated during COVID-19. They also noted that he worked to protect the patient-physician relationship and patient access to care, especially reproductive health care.
NEW AD: Always
The campaign’s latest ad, “Always,” began airing this week, highlighting Governor Walz’s career as a teacher, his support for fully funding education, and Scott Jensen’s support for cutting funding for public schools.

POLITICAL UPDATES
It was a beautiful weekend to attend events! Last Saturday, the Governor launched a door knock with Senate District 35 candidates. The room was completely packed and that shift alone knocked nearly 800 doors.
After the door knock, the Governor stopped by the IAM (Machinists) picnic to talk about the importance of union labor in Minnesota and voting for candidates that support organized labor.
On Sunday, the Teamsters invited the Governor to speak at their summer picnic that benefits the organization Homes for Our Troops. The Governor gave remarks to a few hundred union members and their families and met veterans involved with Homes for Our Troops.
