The City Council passed a Homeowner Rebate 🏡 💵 ! Open this email to see if you qualify for money back from your government ....
Dear Neighbor,
I am excited to share with you that I have sponsored legislation to give working and middle-class homeowners something they have not had in 15 years — money back from your government!
When combined with the state rebate, most co-op, condo, and homeowners will receive a rebate of at least $440 this year. If you are up to date on your property taxes as of June 30, 2022, you should have been mailed a check in August of 2022. If not, check here to see if you matched the eligibility requirements ([link removed]) .
While this rebate will hopefully help with the financial burden of continuously increasing property taxes, a property reform is still greatly needed and something I will continue to push for. See more information about the rebate below.

How Much Will I Receive?
Eligible New York City homeowners recently received property tax rebates of up to $150. When combined with the state rebate, most co-op, condo, and homeowners will receive a rebate of at least $440 this year.
When Will I Receive It?
If you are up to date on your property taxes as of June 30, 2022, you should have been mailed a check in August of 2022. Eligibility is based on the STAR rebate qualifications. If you already receive the annual STAR rebate check, you will receive these 2 new rebates automatically.
Am I Eligible?
If you are eligible for STAR but not enrolled, please enroll now here ([link removed]) .
If you believe you have met the eligibility criteria but do not receive a check by the end of September can take the following steps by November 15, 2022
1. Visitwww.nyc.gov/dofsmartfile.
2. If they do not already have an account, select “Create Account” and log in.
3. Select “2022 - Property Tax Rebate Form.”
4. Complete the information and upload the documentation requested.
5. Remember to click “Submit.” The Department of Finance will notify property owners whether they are eligible for the rebate.
