The Economist just unveiled their 2022 House forecast and has listed CA-45 as a TOSS UP, with Dems leading at 51% as of this week. This is largely due to the fact that Michelle Steel is running in a district new to her and is facing tougher than expected competition from Democrat and Navy vet Jay Chen.

CA-45 is a rare opportunity to both expand the Democrats’ House majority and defeat an anti-choice extremist. Now that we are less than a month away before voters begin casting ballots, we need to help Jay’s on-the-ground team turn out as many Democrats as possible and get his message out across the district.

It’s important to remember that our district rejected Donald Trump by a massive 6-point margin back in 2020. That hasn’t stopped Michelle Steel from aligning herself with the “MAGA” Republican. She’s far too extreme for our district.

We have momentum and a real shot at flipping this seat from red to blue, but it’s going to take a strong grassroots operation. We can’t do it without you.
