John,

It’s clear my extreme opponent is driven more by ideology than she is by our community’s priorities or an interest in informed governance.

Recently, she flippantly suggested she would shut down the government for purely partisan gain if she’s elected: “I certainly think that we have to slam the brakes,” she said.

Government shutdowns hurt Virginia’s economy, they hurt hard-working Virginians, and they hurt our national security. Either my opponent doesn’t know this – or worse – she doesn’t care.

I’m campaigning hard to make sure I remain in office, reaching across the aisle to deliver real results for our community, not grinding our government to a halt.

And I need your support to make sure we defend this seat. Will you invest in our campaign today?
