Yesterday, Governor Kemp admitted what I and others have been warning for months: in the next legislative session, Georgia Republicans could take further extreme measures to restrict reproductive rights — including banning contraception.
When asked if he supported such a ban, Kemp tried to equivocate and said, "I’d have to check and see because there are a lot of legalities.”
John, I know something about the law, and access to contraception is a constitutional right. You can trust that as Attorney General, I'll stand strong against any effort by extremists in the legislature to challenge this. But we can't say the same about Chris Carr.
Carr has backed every effort by his party to restrict the right to choose, even when Roe v. Wade was still the law of the land. He's shown that he'll support legislation that blatantly violates Georgians' right to privacy, and it's time we had an Attorney General who acted differently.
Every day, we get yet another reminder of the stakes of this election. So please, chip in now to help me show Chris Carr the door in November →
