Get this — at an event this past weekend, Donald Trump took the podium to encourage wealthy GOP donors to support Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ campaign, making baseless claims of voter fraud as an excuse if she loses this election.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders may be an “exceptional person” in Donald Trump’s eyes, but she’s not the right person to lead the great state of Arkansas.

Not only does Sarah Huckabee Sanders continue to sideline the people of Arkansas — the state that she’s running for governor in — but she’s cozying up to Trump and his allies to boost her chances.

We’re reimagining what it means to run a campaign by meeting voters exactly where they’re at (in all 75 counties) and creating policies that center hardworking Arkansans. While my opponent continues jetting off to high-dollar fundraisers, we’re committed to hitting the pavement in our state and talking face-to-face with folks about what’s really important, and inspiring them to turn out and vote.

The Arkansas Times published an article that sums up everything we already know to be true about Sarah Huckabee Sanders:

“This footage captured…in New Jersey checks all the boxes for what we’ve come to expect from a Sanders campaign event: It’s held out of state, there are no people of color anywhere to be seen, and Sanders’ service to Trump is touted as her best and only qualification. ”

While she continues down this path of corruption and division, I’m reminded of why this fight is so important: Arkansans deserve bold change and the opportunity to live out our unique potential, and that’s exactly what’s possible with real leadership. This fight is way bigger than me.
