Friend,

This week, Republican Senator Lindsay Graham shocked the nation and
members of his own party by proposing a federal ban on abortion after 15
weeks of pregnancy. Graham has promised that if Republicans regain control
of the House and Senate this November, his bill would receive a floor
vote.

With the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the right to
one’s own bodily autonomy, as well as one’s personal health, is on the
line in this election. The only way to ensure that protecting reproductive
rights remains a top priority in Congress is to shore up Democratic
majorities in the House and Senate.

That’s why I’m putting my faith behind candidates like Summer Lee of
Pennsylvania and Becca Balint of Vermont, two progressive voices who have
the experience and the drive to help us finally codify Roe v. Wade into
federal law. But we need your help to get them to Capitol Hill.

Democrats in the majority and defend reproductive rights in Congress?

Summer and Becca understand that access to abortion care is a fundamental
right, one we must protect at all costs. And that starts with sending them
and other pro-choice candidates to Congress this November.
