I’m appalled by Ron DeSantis’s latest political stunt, John, and I bet you are too.
This week, this governor marked the start of Hispanic Heritage Month by treating migrants fleeing brutal oppression like cattle.
We’re talking about human beings who risked their lives in search of freedom in our country. We’re talking about babies, children, mothers and fathers, lied to and illegally shipped across state lines. All for a cruel political stunt.
When you're this inhumane, you're not qualified to be governor.
Everything Ron DeSantis does is a game to score political points and feed red meat to his base in his thinly veiled attempt to run for president — but it’s really Floridians who pay the price.
This disgusting stunt is an urgent reminder that freedom is on the ballot this November. Do we want a state that shines as a beacon of freedom for people fleeing despotic regimes? Where women are free to control their bodies?
Or will we let freedom in Florida be snuffed out?
If you’re as appalled by DeSantis’s actions as I am, here’s what you need to know: The only way we can fix it is by beating DeSantis at the ballot box this November.
We can win this election, John, and for the sake of freedom we must.
Please, split a contribution of any amount between my campaign and Florida Senate Victory today — nothing less than the most basic tenets of humanity are at stake.
