Friend –

Abortion rights. Voting rights. Racial justice. Free speech. It's all on the ballot in the upcoming elections this November 8.

And given the disturbing actions of so many of our elected officials over the past few weeks and months – including the aggressive attacks on abortion state-by-state and, most recently, nationwide – it is clearer than ever how powerful your vote is going to be.

That's why we at the ACLU are providing the resources and actions you'll need to make an informed vote this fall. Today, that starts with understanding the direct impact that lesser known offices have on your rights – offices that you very likely will have on your ballot.

So go to our quick and handy explainer on this subject now – and get prepped on how to make a difference in down-ballot races and beyond. <[link removed]>

Dive In: How These Offices Impact Your Rights <[link removed]>

ACLU Supporter, whether it's for a district attorney election in your county or a supreme court judge race in your state, you have the power to change this country with your vote.

Far too many of these elected officials seem to feel they can continue introducing policies and laws that do not reflect the will of the people – actions that have been devastating on people's rights and lives.

But this November, let's remind them that they don't have the final say when it comes to our rights – we do. Your vote can and will send a clear message to lawmakers that they need to take bold action to stem the tide of attacks on abortion care, to end anti-trans legislation, to put a stop to book bans and classroom censorship, and to work for a country where everyone's freedoms are safe and equal.

So dig into our informer piece on the offices to know about today, <[link removed]> and as you do, know our teams of lawyers, advocates, and organizers are fighting every day to protect your right to vote and ensure that it's counted.

We'll be back in your inbox with more critical midterms resources from now until November.
