The library was originally built in 1903 as a Carnegie Library and requires extensive repairs and renovations to provide essential services to the community. New Bill to Improve Seniors’ Health Passes House
This week, the House passed a bill that I advanced in my Energy and Commerce Committee to make health care better for seniors. The Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act would improve access to treatment and ensure that seniors are receiving the health care that they are entitled to by streamlining and shortening the timeframe for prior authorization in the Medicare Advantage program. The legislation would also increase transparency of Medicare Advantage plans and modernize the prior authorization process. This important bipartisan legislation will help ensure that our seniors are not facing unwanted barriers to accessing timely, medically necessary care.
