URGENT!
Follow Our Friends in LA with #WhatAboutUs

Tonight, the Democrats will take the stage for a seventh time in Los Angeles and once again we fully expect that they will ignore the groundswell rising outside their gatherings.  With signs and placards asking #WhatAboutUs?, #PowerfulParentNetwork and #SaveCharters, parents of Latino and African-American students and education reform advocates are on the ground in Los Angeles to demand that their voices be heard and they get an answer to the question, “WHAT ABOUT US?”

Over six months, six stages, and 11 hours of presidential debating only 18 minutes so far have focused on education.  This pathetic lack of time is irresponsible with individuals who are aspiring to the highest office in the land.

CER is hoping you’ll join us in amplifying the voices of these parent advocates as they try to ensure the Democratic candidates hear their pleas for educational opportunity for their children.

Please follow us @edreform on Twitter, or on Facebook, as we are retweeting and highlighting the people you need to follow and follow @SaveCharters, the Freedom Coalition for Charter Schools, which led by Dr. Howard Fuller is on the ground in LA tonight!

We would ask that you retweet these voices and stories and in the spirit of the holidays help CER as we provide critical support to these tireless champions not just of their own children but all of the nation’s children who are being threatened by the dangerous rhetoric being heard from the Democratic candidates.
