Still time to get in on the Great Park Pursuit

There's still plenty of time to get in on the fun of the Great Park Pursuit! Sign up to explore 20 official park sites across the state ? and possibly win prizes ? through Oct. 31.

This free program encourages teams of up to 10 people to visit the designated program sites, which include community, regional, state and federal parks in Nebraska. Participants will follow clues to a Great Park Pursuit post placed on the property, and mark their visit for entry into prize drawings.

Teams can win prizes such as a GoPro camera, cabin stays, backyard game packages, Nebraska state park permits, Nebraskaland Magazine subscriptions and more. The grand prize is an outdoor recreation package valued at $1,500.

Parker, the traveling post, is on the move!

Parker, the traveling Great Park Pursuit post, has stopped by Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park. If you capture him, he can substitute for any of the 20 official locations. (Note: the park is open Wednesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

So, if there's a site you can't make it to, use an opportunity like this to get all 20 stops in. And getting 20 stops qualifies you for the highest number of entries for the top prize: $1,500 worth of outdoor gear! (There are no extra entries for getting 20 stops plus a travelling post.)
