In 2010, after President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act, Republicans centered their midterm campaign on a lie: that the ACA’s efforts to save seniors money on Medicare amounted to a billion-dollar Medicare cut. They rode that lie to 6 additional Senate seats and 63(!) House seats. And they’re trying to do it again.

Right now, Republicans are pinning their fading midterm prospects on the lie that letting Medicare take on Big Pharma price gouging amounts to a benefit cut, even though the only change for seniors is their bill.
