Hi Friends,

As a proud Cuban American, I am honored to celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage month!

From September 15th to October 15th, we recognize what makes our culture unique and the values we choose to pass on to our families - values like faith, family, education, and the opportunity to work hard and to create a better life for ourselves and the next generation. While Hispanic Americans are incredibly diverse in culture and background, what unites us is our belief in the American Dream.

Unfortunately, that American Dream is in jeopardy for all of us, as policies from Biden and Blumenthal make life unaffordable. Trillions of dollars of wasteful government spending have led to record inflation. Food staples are soaring. Dairy is up 17%, eggs 39.8%, chicken 16.6% and even bread is higher at 16.2%. Like other immigrants, Hispanic families came here for freedom and opportunities, but Biden-Blumenthal inflation is crushing those opportunities. My family came here to escape Communism in Cuba, but I’ve never been more worried about the state of our economy and what the future may hold for our children.

Connecticut families are hurting, and they are ready for new leadership.

On Wednesday, we held a rally at the RNC Engagement Center in New Britain to talk about the issues important to Connecticut families and to also celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. I noted that people across our great state – Democrats, Independents, and Republicans – are sharing with me on the campaign trail that they are voting for me because we cannot afford another 6 years of Dick Blumenthal. I also spoke about how Hispanics are joining our party, because the radical Left is destroying the American Dream, driving up costs with record inflation, encouraging lawlessness and defunding the police, and indoctrinating our children with their political agenda. But even worse, they have robbed them of their education by having closed the schools. Their policies caused the learning loss of 5 points in reading, the largest score drop since 1990 and a 7 point drop in mathematics, the first drop ever.

We are at a crossroads, but voters are ready to choose common-sense leaders who will help stop the spending and ensure the American Dream is preserved. So many Hispanic voters are registering as Republicans for the first time, because they are ready for change!

Connecticut has a great opportunity to fire Blumenthal, and it will be a privilege to be the first Hispanic Senator from our great state. I will represent all of us, and never stop fighting for Connecticut families and the American Dream.

God bless, America! Dios bendiga América!

About Leora

I am running to take on the far-left whose policies will make our country look more like the Communist Cuba my family and I escaped in 1960 than the United States we have all known and loved. I am running for Senate to lead the fight for freedom. Joe Biden isn't on the ballot in November, but his policies are. The way to beat back Biden is to beat Dick Blumenthal, and I am the political outsider who can get it done.
