Hi John,
We launched NIAC Action with the goal of supporting folks running for office who are committed to making a positive difference in their communities, and for Iranian-Americans, specifically. We recognize that making change in cities, states, and Congress is challenging but it's not impossible.
It’s incredible to see what we have accomplished since starting this project: helping win major elections for allies in Congress, like Rep. Katie Porter in California and Rep. Rashida Tlaib in Michigan, as well as talented young stars, like Representative Anna Eskamani, who became the first IA woman elected to office in her home state of Florida.
Election day is 8 weeks away. We have a shot at making history this year by backing a slate of candidates who share our values, including 3 outstanding Iranian-American women who, like Anna, can become the first Iranian-American female representatives in their states.
 Winning each of these races would mean unprecedented representation and allyship for our community. We’re driven by the possibility of making real political change. Electing representatives we can be proud of opens even more doors for first-time Iranian-American candidates and allies of peace, diplomacy, and civil rights.
