John,

In 2018, Kara Eastman ran for Congress in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District on an inclusive, populist agenda, and just barely lost to her far-right Republican opponent by less than two points.

Just want to highlight that we’re talking about Nebraska here and that the Republican just barely won.

Now, Kara will finish the job in 2020.

Rush a split contribution of $5 or whatever you can to Kara and DFA today to help us finish the job and flip this House seat from red to blue next November:

We’re excited to once again endorse Kara and help her expand the grassroots people-powered campaign she needs to win in this Republican district.

The rematch strategy works.

Kara joins our slate of 2020 progressive candidates who know that sometimes to take down Republican incumbents with near universal in-district name recognition and backed by far-right megadonors, it takes running twice in a row.

Smart campaigns like Kara’s use the election data to find their strongholds and weak spots, then target those precincts with specific plans to either keep them strong or flip them to their side.

Kara is not alone. She joins DFA endorsed candidates Gina Ortiz-Jones (TX-23), J.D. Scholten (IA-4), Ammar Campa-Najjar (CA-50), and Dana Balter (NY-24), all progressives who narrowly lost in 2018, who are building on their former campaigns to drive the win in 2020.

Help Kara finish the job on Election Day by delivering more resources to organize, mobilize, contact voters and get out the vote. Rush a split donation now:

Born and raised in the Midwest by a single mother, Kara understands first hand what our families and communities need.

When she gets to Washington, she’ll fight for a Medicare for All healthcare system that puts people before profits, a Green New Deal that halts catastrophic climate change AND creates millions of new jobs, and an economy that puts working families first.

This is our chance for a progressive to flip this seat and expand the Democratic majority in the House.

Thank you for everything you’re doing right now to make sure we win in 2020.
