“There are 1.7 million people across this entire Commonwealth that need to be engaged and brought back into the electorate,” said Kenner, “[we are hearing] they just don’t believe that their vote is really counting for anything or they’re not in love with either political major party, and feel that their needs are not being met.”

“The Dobbs ruling was a spark, especially for young women in Chester County to get engaged (in the election),” commented Kadida Kenner, chief executive officer of The New Pennsylvania Project, a West Chester-based voting rights organization. “As they saw their right to reproductive health being taken away by the court, they said, ‘Now I’m going to come out and do something about it.’” she said. “This is the time to come out (and vote) now.”
