Team, the Marquette poll released this week shows this race is neck and neck. We'd be lying if we said we weren't worried. Take a look:

Mandela Law School Poll: Senate race neck and neck
Mandela Barnes: 48%
Ron Johnson: 49%

After leading in previous Marquette polls, Mandela is now trailing by one point. We cannot ignore the possibility that Ron Johnson could win in November.

Losing this race would be a devastating blow to Democrats' ability to expand the Senate majority. Now that Ron Johnson is gaining ground, we can expect his dark-money groups to ramp up their attacks to try to defend this seat.

Just yesterday, Roll Call rated the Wisconsin Senate race as "Tilt Republican."

Plus Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight still has Ron Johnson favored to win.

Ron Johnson is still considered the most vulnerable Republican Senator up for re-election. But defeating an incumbent senator who is propped up by special-interest donors and dark-money groups was never going to be easy.

So today we are looking for a very large number of donations to show that Mandela has the grassroots momentum and the resources to win this race.
