We remember the girl we encountered 20 years ago identified only by the number 146. We remember the look in her eyes, and how that moment propelled us to take action. We recognize the harshness of a world where children are still being trafficked and exploited.
But we also celebrate. Over the past two decades, Love146 and supporters, including you, have journeyed with courageous young people in the fight to end trafficking.
20 years ago, very few people knew about this problem - or even believed us when we talked about it. Maybe you’ve experienced that in conversations about this issue. But today, thanks to your advocacy, there’s a growing recognition that this is one of the defining human rights issues of our time – we refuse to accept that child exploitation is just a part of life.
20 years ago, we were a group of 4 friends trying to make a difference. Today, we have over 80 staff on three continents providing prevention education and survivor care services to children. You've been a part of making this happen. Together, we’ve helped over 70,000 children around the world. Thank you!
We invite you to remember. Remember her. Remember how far we have come. Remember children we have yet to reach. And we invite you to celebrate by making a difference in a child’s life:
