As Israel escalates its assault on Palestinians, it’s your last chance to sign up for the 2022 Virtual Advocacy Days and fight for Palestinian rights! Dear Email, Earlier today, a 17-year-old Palestinian kid named Odai Trad Salah was murdered when he was shot in the head by the Israeli military during a raid in the village of Kufr Dan near Jenin. The Israeli military was carrying out raids in search of two other Palestinian men who had defied the demolition orders against their family homes by the occupation. The raid left at least three other Palestinians injured, with one in critical condition, and is part of an Israeli campaign of nightly terror raids, targeted killings, and mass arrests in the occupied West Bank meant to terrify and subjugate the Palestinians living there. Just this year alone, Israeli forces have killed 149 Palestinians and are refusing to release Palestinian prisoner and terminally ill cancer patient, Nasser Abu Hmaid. Hmaid’s family and prisoner groups are pleading for the Israeli government to release the terminally ill 49-year-old who is facing “his last days” based on an Israeli medical report showing Israel’s needless and illegal cruelty against all Palestinians—even the terminally ill. As Israel escalates its assault on Palestinians, you have the opportunity to fight back against these injustices next week at the 8th annual virtual Palestine Advocacy Days on September 19-23. If you’re unsure about whether this is a time to fight or surrender to despair, take a moment to watch Dr. Osama Abu Irshaid’s powerful message for why we need you there with us next week! It’ll be free to participate and we'll be joined by hundreds of activists from around the country to meet with Congress and deliver our demands. We will provide free training on Monday, September 19, an inspiring public plenary session with Members of Congress on Tuesday, September 20, then we will guide you through meetings with your Senators and Representative on September 21 through September 23. You can click here to register for the 2022 Palestine Advocacy Days. Thank you for advocating for Palestinian rights! |
