I just spoke with the family of the 11-year-old boy who was assaulted by a
police officer in North Carolina.

He’s been in the hospital and has now been diagnosed with a severe
concussion. He’s been in awful pain. The officer has been arrested – but
now this means that the charges must be increased.

I have two action steps that I need you to take:

 1. Please call the District Attorney at 919-690-4860 to let him know the
charges need to be increased from a misdemeanor to a felony.
 2. Real Justice is depending on your financial support to elect district
attorneys all across the country who will hold police accountable for
deeply disturbing brutality.
