A quick note on a new initiative you might be interested in: the Child Protection Programme is delighted to partner with Accompaniment Support Services for Children (ASSC) to pilot the provision of a half-day workshop on Responding to a Disclosure to the youth work sector.

How much: Free

Why attend?
This workshop will
* provide a space to explore what a disclosure is
* help you understand and recognise when you receive a disclosure
* give you an opportunity to explore how you receive a disclosure and how you respond to the child/young person who is disclosing, and
* explore the aftermath of a disclosure (reporting, supporting the child/young person, minding yourself).
We're running the workshop with a small number of participants so we can examine in small groups how you might recognise and respond to a disclosure from a child or young person.
You can choose between a morning workshop or an afternoon workshop. Please register your interest ([link removed]) for the time that best suits you.
If you have any feedback or questions, do feel free to get in touch.
Kind regards,
Siobhán
