PAP Women’s Wing calls for action to support women in their caregiving responsibilities

As part of the PAP Women’s Wing Conference this year, we called for action from all Singaporeans to support women in their caregiving responsibilities ([link removed]) – starting with inviting everyone to step forward and make a pledge.

On 10 September 2022, our Women’s Wing stood alongside 23 social service agencies and ground-up groups and presented a public exhibition for Singaporeans to be equipped and supported on their caregiving and parenting journeys ([link removed]) . They were also invited to step up and volunteer to strengthen care in the community.

As a Party, we recognise the importance of supporting our caregivers as the nation works towards strengthening its social compact. Women’s development is a journey without end and we are committed to play our part to grow the circles of care to ensure that no one is left behind. Read more ([link removed]) .

In Parliament, our MPs continue to push for growth in Singapore’s care ecosystem and advocate for caregivers, strengthening efforts to stand with them as they take on their caregiving responsibilities. Read more ([link removed]) .

Keeping Singapore open to global talents has positioned our country on the world map and created more opportunities for Singaporeans. With the recent introduction of the One Pass, our MPs raised questions in Parliament on how this will impact Singaporeans. Read more ([link removed]) .

Aa global inflation is expected to persist, our MPs asked in Parliament if Singaporeans can get more help from more wage increments, more public transport subsidies and if the Government will be reviewing planned tax increases. Read more ([link removed]) .

Our MPs continue to push for more support for mental health ([link removed]) . From building community and peer support to expanding mental health services, the Government is committed to strengthening the infrastructure in the community.
