The first debate of the general election is in the books, John!
Tonight’s debate was thoughtful, substantive, and important. Vermonters now know that they will have vastly different choices in front of them at the ballot box this November.
It was concerning to hear that both of my opponents believe that abortion rights can or should be left up to individual states, and that they would accept some restrictions on reproductive health care. With a national abortion ban looming in Washington, Vermont cannot risk electing anyone to Congress who is not 100% pro-choice. Period.
With abortion rights, our planet, and our democracy all hanging in the balance, we cannot leave this election up to chance. I need your continued support in order to win this election on November 8th. So if you can, please contribute $5, $10, or anything you can afford to support our campaign today.

This election is going to be about who can be the most effective legislator for the people of Vermont – and I am the only candidate in this race who has experience holding public office, building coalitions, and delivering meaningful legislation for Vermonters here at home.
And if there's one thing I hope folks take away from tonight's debate, it's that above all else, I care about people — and that I will have your back if you send me to Washington.
After tonight, all eyes will be on us watching to see who gains momentum after this debate. This is a major test for our campaign, and I need your support to meet this moment: Will you donate $5 to help us keep the momentum going after tonight’s debate?
Thank you so much for your continued support,
Becca Balint
