John, September is going to be one of the most important months for our campaign. Let me explain:
This month is the last Federal Election Commission end-of-quarter public filing deadline before Election Day. Everyone — including our Republican opponent — will be watching to see what numbers we post at the end of the month.
That’s why it’s so important that our fundraising numbers reflect the strength of our grassroots movement. So we've set a goal to raise $15,000 by tomorrow at midnight to make sure we stay on track with our goals. Will you chip in $5 or anything you can right now to help make sure we keep Cori in Congress?
To be honest, Cori's re-election is about more than just Missouri's First District — it's about who holds power in Congress.
Conservative Democrats and the GOP have made it clear that they’re not happy with the anti-racist, progressive movement that Cori is leading in Congress.
Now, it’s critical we show the strength of our grassroots campaign and how many folks agree with Cori that it’s past time we end the cycle of police violence in our communities, pass Medicare for All, and create a new kind of politics that centers everyday people.
We know we have people power on our side, but there are serious challenges ahead of us to make sure we protect Cori’s seat. The far-right came out against Cori in the primary, and they won't be slowing down.
John, protecting reproductive rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, civil rights, and more will come down to re-electing Cori and keeping our Democratic majority. Please, will you chip in $5 or more before tomorrow’s mid-month deadline to help re‑elect Cori and grow our progressive power in Congress?
Together,
Morgan
