Dear friend,

Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, I'm proud to recognize the diverse Latino communities in New York and around the country, to celebrate the many accomplishments Hispanic Americans have made to their communities, and to recommit myself to the fight for racial equity.

I'm honored to serve as the first Puerto Rican woman elected to Congress and the first Latina to chair a full House committee, but I'm determined not to be the last. From investing in young Latina leaders in New York to fighting for a pathway to citizenship for DACA and TPS recipients, I've spent my career advocating for Latino communities, and I'm not stopping now.

Are you ready to continue this work alongside me? [[link removed]]

I hope you'll join me in celebrating the Hispanic Americans who've come before us and in fighting for those who'll come after.

In solidarity, Nydia
