Hi there - I wanted to send you a note before our fundraising drive ends tonight.

We’re running a new kind of campaign for North Carolina, because we have to try something new if we’re going to win in just 8 short weeks. We need to organize and reach out to folks in all 100 counties — nobody will be counted out or forgotten. That is what you should expect from your Senator.

But a campaign at this scale requires a significant amount of grassroots support. So if you can use this link to give, it’d mean a lot to me:

People are already casting the very first vote by mail ballots here, and in-person early voting starts soon.

One of the most important things I’ve learned running (and winning) statewide before, is that the sooner we can invest in our organizing and outreach operations, the more of an impact we can have. It allows us to plan ahead and make key strategic investments in our ground game — in rural and urban communities alike, from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Outer Banks.

So every dollar we raise now will pay even greater dividends when the votes are counted. That’ll matter in North Carolina, where polls are showing a statistical tie.

But we’re still short of the goal we set for tonight, the halfway point to the FEC deadline. So I’m personally asking you to contribute before our midnight deadline. Here’s that link again:

With your support, this is going to be a campaign that reaches and inspires voters all across North Carolina. Together, we will bring new leadership and a voice for the people to the Senate.

Thanks for helping us leave it all on the field!

- Cheri
