Hi John, this was my opponent in 2019:
So, is anyone really surprised that Dan Crenshaw represents the Texas GOP?
Make no mistake: Forced birth—and draconian, medieval control over women’s bodies—is the presumptive goal of the entire GOP.
…They just made it happen here in Texas first.
The impact?
Here’s a snapshot of news reports since Texas’ extreme abortion ban (with no exception for rape or incest, physicians in violation face life in prison):

In a word, it’s been absolutely devastating.
And the Republican strategy—to roll out extreme restrictions in one state, and then a few more, and then go national—that’s intentional.
Living in a blue state won’t be enough to protect any of us from Republican far-right ideology for much longer.
As Democrats, oftentimes we shy away from direct combat with the GOP. We rely on Beltway think pieces and policy wonks, thinking the solution alone will be sufficiently convincing.
We ignore the underlying hatred stirring in the background, the emotional fever that Republicans bring to the ballot box.
And all too often, we lose—to extremist candidates who run on fear, like Trump, and Ted Cruz, and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
So I think it’s time we Democrats start telling it like it is: If we don’t stand up and start fighting right now this country faces some very dark days ahead.
What’s happening right now, it’s bigger than just Red states, or Texas; it’s happening everywhere.
It's particularly aimed at people of color and people who don’t have the money to fight back.
Yet it will impact all of us—regardless of our income level, or our skin color, or which state we live in.
Nothing about the abortion bans Republicans like Lindsey Graham and my opponent, Dan Crenshaw, have proposed in Congress is pro-life.
Nothing about their proposals is compassionate.
Nothing will thwart Crenshaw and Graham and members of their party from attempting to strip our democracy away from the people of the United States.
They will stop at nothing.
Unless We the People stop them.
We can, we must, and we will defeat the far-right ideologues who'd trade our rights away: Us. One Nation. United.
In these final two months until the election, let’s do the work. For the future of this country—for every single one of us in it—let’s do the damn work, together.
It's time to band together and fight back,
Robin Fulford
