Friend, 16 of our endorsed candidates this election are in priority races.

In these races, we have an opportunity to either add a climate champion to the Assembly, State Senate, or U.S. House, or to protect an incumbent champion in a tight race.

Friend, do you want to know the secret to winning these races? Organizing.

Watch our video to learn exactly what organizing is and what kind of organizing EnviroVoters is doing to win the midterm elections.

Organizing refers to mobilizing support from the ground up. It takes small, individual actions, and points them at a goal.

That could mean organizing residents in a certain geographic community, like the work we’ve been doing on water rights in the Central Valley. It also frequently means persuading and turning out voters.

On an electoral campaign, “field organizers” work with volunteers to directly contact voters through knocking doors, making phone calls, and texting. Field organizing can directly account for up to 5% of a candidate’s final vote total – when many races come down to 1 or 2 points, field organizing can literally win elections!

Organizing is teamwork, friend, and it is the work that will save our climate and our democracy.

Watch our organizing video, then sign up to learn about volunteer opportunities to organize in person in your community and remotely to make sure climate wins this election.

See you in the field!
