March On: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Friend, today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, which lasts from September 15th - October 15th!

Throughout this Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating inspirational Hispanic leaders in public service, while also amplifying ways to support their fights ahead of this November’s midterm election.

Today, we’re spotlighting Senator Catherine Cortez Masto from Nevada!

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto

When Cortez Masto won her election in 2016, she made history as the first woman to represent Nevada in the Senate – and the first Latina ever elected to the Senate, period.

In the Senate, Cortez Masto is a strong advocate for DREAMers and immigration reform. She fought back against the Trump administration to protect DACA and end the separation of families at the border.

Senator Cortez Masto: As a little girl growing up in Las Vegas, I had no idea I would grow up to be the first Latina in the U.S. Senate. But we made history together.

Cortez Masto has also led legislation in the Senate to strengthen affordable healthcare, protect women’s rights, and expand renewable energy.

Friend, Catherine Cortez Masto is one of our strongest Democratic fighters in the Senate – and she’s facing a competitive race for reelection this fall.

Thank you for celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with us!
