Before 1971, there was no place for victims of sexual and domestic violence to go for healing or justice. Started by a group of feminist activists, Peace Over Violence continues to operate the longest running sexual and domestic violence hotline in history. During the past fifty years, POV has grown to serve hundreds of thousands of individuals through our innovative violence prevention and intervention programming.
