Today, we gathered at the Capitol to relaunch Virginia Values, the coalition working to create a Virginia that reflects our shared values of fairness, dignity, and respect.

In 2020, our sights are set on updating Virginia law to ensure that LGBTQ Virginians can live their lives free from discrimination in employment, housing, and public spaces.

Right now, LGBTQ Virginians can be fired, evicted, or denied service in public places like restaurants, shops and even doctor’s offices—just for being themselves. That’s unacceptable. Everyone should feel welcome in our Commonwealth, no matter who they are or who they love.

That’s why people of faith, public safety officials, local advocates, and Virginians from all walks of life are coming together under the Virginia Values banner.
