Hi John, quick question for you—

Guess which Philadelphia hospital closed its doors because the owner wanted to build luxury condos instead?

Hahnemann, the only public hospital Philadelphia had. The one that serviced 50,000+ patients a year, most with publicly funded medical insurance or none at all, two-thirds Black or Hispanic.

Hahnemann provided urgent care to people in our community who had nowhere else. And now, Hahnemann's about to be gone forever.

Across the country, developers are targeting our community hospitals—the hospitals that serve the patients with the fewest options.

This is a simple choice: We can stand up and fight for our hospitals, our healthcare, and our cities.

Or not.

During this COVID-19 pandemic, it should be obvious that we need hospitals more than we need luxury high-rises.

It should be obvious that providing healthcare to the sick, the elderly, the most vulnerable among us should be one of our priorities—at least, more than paving another parking lot.

But that’s the thing with Hahnemann… The choice—though simple—is ours to make.

We cannot sit and watch hospitals close as our communities are sacrificed at the altar of luxury development. Join me now. Can you please chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can spare to help build our momentum to save Hahnemann? Every dollar we raise right now helps fuel this fight we’ve taken on.

We need all hands on deck to save Hahnemann and community care facilities like it nationwide.
