Hey folks, I'm concerned.

I just wrapped up a tough phone call with my team to discuss the state of my campaign. I'll give you the gist: our fundraising is not going nearly as well as we'd hoped.

My opponent is launching his first TV ad of the campaign with help from the National Republican Congressional Committee. With only eight weeks until Election Day, I'm in danger of falling behind.

In November, voters will decide who will have the privilege of representing the people of IL-06 for the next two years. That decision will determine if we maintain our Democratic House majority, or hand it over to hard-core MAGA Republicans.

I’m sure you know how disastrous the latter would be.

But we're facing major setbacks. By mid-month, we’ve only raised 34% of our total September goal. I’m doing my absolute best to avoid making budget cuts when the stakes are so high, but I’m concerned that we just can’t regain this much lost ground in time.
