The Department of Justice just made a major move in its investigation into Donald Trump and the events surrounding January 6th.

 

Last year, Meadows turned over thousands of text messages to the January 6th Committee that painted a clear picture about what communications were happening in the White House in the months leading up to the insurrection. And now we have confirmation that he has turned over the same material to the Justice Department.

So why is this development so important? The Department of Justice has the authority to prosecute Trump, The 147, and anyone else they deem criminally liable for the January 6th Insurrection. Meadows’ cooperation proves not only that the DOJ investigation is picking up steam but that the January 6th Committee’s hearings form the foundation of their inquiry.

Unfortunately, there is one thing that could disrupt the Department of Justice’s investigation into January 6th. We know that if The 147 take power in the House, they will do everything in their power to shut down these critical investigations and bury the truth about the Capitol Insurrection forever.
