Fall fishing can be some of the best of the year. Saltwater fishing is at its peak as Sept. sees redfish move from the bays to the Gulf, and Oct. finds flounder doing the same. If you haven't thought about fishing for common carp [ [link removed] ], think again. Carp is considered a world-class sport fish, and anglers from around the world come to Texas in search of it. 

Carp put up a good fight and can be found in lakes and streams across the state. They can be caught with easy homemade carp baits [ [link removed] ], and many grow to monster size – always good for photos! There are no bag or size limits on common carp, except in Lady Bird Lake, where an angler may keep only one carp per day that's 33" or longer.
