I have great news:

The House just passed my bipartisan bill, the Preventing a Patronage System Act. 

This bill protects civil servants from being fired and replaced by partisan political hacks.  

In 2020, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans started an effort to make it easier to fire civil servants in the federal government. Contrary to what some Republicans say, these government employees are not the deep state. These civil servants—many of whom are our family, friends, and neighbors right here in Northern Virginia—are people who have chosen a life of public service, regardless of which party is in power. 

But Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are deadset against passing this bill. They'll do everything in their power to block my bill and make sure the next Republican President can purge the federal workforce at his whim.

That's why I need your help, friend. Can you sign our petition telling the Senate to pass the Preventing a Patronage System Act TODAY?

Today we’ve taken a big first step towards making sure our nonpartisan federal workforce stays that way. Now we need the Senate to do its part. Together, we can stop Trump's attacks on federal workers once and forever and guarantee a continued non-partisan federal work force that serves EVERY American.
