** What to Buy the Bicycle Lover (or Yourself )
------------------------------------------------------------
It’s that time of year where we buy gifts for loved ones. If you are unsure what to get them because they have too many bikes (not a thing, by the way) then check out our list of ideas that should be a welcome gift for any bicycle enthusiast.

** Last Bike Book Club Meeting of the Year
------------------------------------------------------------
The Bike Book Club has been quite interesting. We read the chosen book, meet at a Metro stop and ride to an Arlington County Library to discuss it. If you are in town and want to get in a short ride during the holidays, come join us for the final Bike Book Club of 2019.

We’re reading Chocolate City: A History of Race and Democracy in the Nation’s Capital by Chris Myer Asch and George Derek Musgrove. It’s a fascinating look at the city across the river from Arlington and how it has transformed from the 1600s Native American area to the urban city it is today.

** Winter Bike to Work Day is Coming—Feb 14
------------------------------------------------------------
It's cold outside but that doesn't mean you have to give up riding your bike. In fact, we want to encourage you to
warm up to biking on International Winter Bike to Work Day. This year, we have expanded and added more ways to enjoy Winter Bike to Work Day. In addition to our traditional pit stop at Gravelly Point, we have partnered with four local coffee shops around Arlington. Simply bike to the coffee shop of your choice, show your Eventbrite ticket (on your smartphone or printed out) to receive a discount on a hot beverage or free pastry. You'll also be able to pick up BikeArlington swag at these coffee shop pit stops.
