Now is the perfect time to sign up for January webinars at AFGE! We’re hitting the ground running in 2020 with these popular online courses:

January 8th – 9th: Basic Workers’ Compensation
AFGE’s resident Workers’ Comp expert Joe Mansour leads this two-day training on the five essentials of filing a workers’ compensation claim for federal workers. Participants must attend both days. A one-day follow-up webinar about appeals, is offered in February.

January 21st or 23rd: EEO: Non-Selections
Our popular EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) series with the Women’s and Fair Practices Departments continues in January with this webinar on proving disparate treatment in non-selections. Participants need only attend one of the month’s two-hour webinars.

January 27th: Stewards Online Orientation
During this four-hour webinar, the talented Shara Smith guides new stewards through the basics of their roles and responsibilities as a local steward, including active worksite representation, grievance intake, and available tools and resources.
