Dear John,

Three years and countless hours of advocacy later, we did it! The Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2019 has officially passed the Senate and is on its way to the President’s desk to be signed into law. This achievement could not have been done without you. Whether it was writing to your Members of Congress, visiting and speaking to lawmakers in Washington, raising public awareness, or donating to the cause—you played a key role in getting this legislation across the finish line.

However, the work is far from over. The hard part now comes in making sure the bill is implemented. In the next 180 days and beyond, we will be working alongside the State Department and Congress to ensure the Caesar Act will be carried out to the fullest extent to hold Assad and his backers in Tehran and Moscow accountable for their crimes against Syrian civilians.

This means:

  • Providing the State Department and Treasury the information they need to target the worst human rights abusers in Syria.

  • Partnering with Congress to ensure they get the reports the Caesar Act requires which detail military and non-military ways to protect Syrian civilians and guarantee the transparency and neutrality of humanitarian aid.

  • Hitting the ground running in crafting Caesar 2.0—the next step to hold Syria’s war criminals to account.

But we need your help. With fewer than two weeks left before December 31, can you help us reach our goal of $30,000 to ensure we are ready for 2020?  Please donate now ⬇️

Thank you in advance for your donation to the cause of freedom and democracy for Syria.

We wish you the best this holiday season.
